A bit about yourself you'd like possible pen pals to know: I am Puerto Rican & Black mixed. I originally resided in the Bronx area of New York. I am also a God Fearing Man. As well I look forward in hearing from good people. Age or Race is not important. I base friendships by accepting people at to whom they are and not judging them by what they have, or how they look. Being blessed with a good heart means the world to me. So I hope to hear from you soon. Stay sweet and God Bless.
My analogies and as well as my prospectus, towards my ambitions in creating an image of facts not fantasy about every day life as I lived it, has been a goal I set to achieve.
I have been fueled with this energy for quite some time now. I'm sure there are a million to one writers/columnists/journalist who surf the avenues necessary, awaiting those opening doors of possibility in being accepted, despite their fallacies and life's discontentment's.
Like myself I am presently incarcerated in a Federal Correctional Institution, and I have seen and been through many prison wars. Yet I am blessed to awake another day, of fresh air in my lungs. In many cases, others are not as fortunate.
I write to you in concern of sharing my world as I lived it behind these walls, in general. I ask to do this in an abundant fashion, only upon your reply. Every man/woman with talents, who is incarcerated State/Federal are being and have been shunned away from society, due to the fact of his or her disposition. I am only one voice that cries out to you, out of many. I plan to be in the very shoes you wear. As well I ask to be accepted likewise, for the heroic changes I've made. Trapped in this cruel and horrendous environment, behind the walls of death and dishonor.
My daily studies consist of social/political/economical views, pertaining to the world events day to day. As well we are going through a dramatic/emotional change, from the September 11th tragedy. My prayers and concerns pour out with tears, for the loved ones, family and friends. We experienced the emptiness of loss in their lives. We are destined to seek change against the evils of (WAR), by any means necessary.
Even though I am indigent, only receiving $5.25 per month, I've learned to sacrifice and deal with moderation between wants and needs. As of right now I need the world to hear the truth, from someone who truly experienced both worlds, being free and being incarcerated for several years. I'm not asking to be placed on your pay roll. I'm simple asking for the opportunity to share articles I've written. I have confidence that I will bring up the productivity level in your magazine. I am a free-lance columnist who knows how to catch and intensify the viewers eyes. In question I'm asking that you send to me any topics, or any interesting subjects that you would like me to develop in to article perspective. Please do so at the above name and address, at your earliest convenience.
In light of my ambitions and strong determination, to be recognized, I'm willingly prepared to work free of any wages, to prove my great motivation. If satisfied with my creativity, as an inspired writer/composer, I'm sure we can arrange a future like hand and glove!
I appreciate your consideration in the above matter.
Yours truly,
Michael
Mitchell
