A bit about yourself you'd like the pen pals to know: Convict author / singer / songwriter. I'm the Gorilla Convict Writer and the Jim Morrison of the prison rock underground. And for real, I'm interested in corresponding with you. So why don't you write? I've been incarcerated since October 1, 1992. I'm a prisoner of the War on Drugs serving a 25 year mandatory minimum sentence for a first-time, non-violent LSD conspiracy conviction. My current release date is listed above. I'm a convict author and am proud to tell you that my first book, PRISON STORIES is out now. It takes you into the belly of the beast. Check out www.gorillaconvict.com , http://www.prisoner083.com for more info. I've been writing for publication since 2001 and my work has appeared in Don Diva, Slam, Vice, Feds, FHM, King, Kyte, and The Ave. Also my articles on prison basketball regularly appear on the internet on www.hoopshype.com. I enjoy writing about the prison experience. I'm also a singer, guitarist, and songwriter who likes jamming, creating music and writing songs. I spend my time writing, singing, reading, playing and watching sports. My interests include education, poetry and music. I've earned a BA degree by correspondence through the University of Iowa and I plan to continue writing for magazines and the internet, publishing books, getting degrees and making music. Please consider engaging in a dialogue with me. I sincerely look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for taking the time to read my ad.
