Hobbies: I spend the majority of my time submerged in political activism with anti-death penalty groups like Visions For Life, ALIVE, and THE Paul Rongean Committee. I also write for several prisoner newsletters. Outside of this I stay buried in the books, reading everything from Theology to History, Anthropology and poetry. I love poetry and write it. I have a book out and am working on others. Just a few of my hobbies.
Dreams and/or Wishes: My aspirations are too many to name. A few are breaking the stereotypes of all prisoners. Serving righteous, social, and political movements, uplift and educate the poor, reform the minds, behaviours and spirits of ones living the street life, fight for equality, justice, love, and peace.
A bit about yourself you'd like the pen pals to know: In the journey of life, one thing I can say we all search for is genuine friendship. No matter of race, gender, or even the physical restrictions in which I live under and fight against, we all would like to share dreams, hopes or just pieces of compassion or philosophy with someone. This type of writing process can be a very challenging thing at times, but it also can be a great blessing. Though labels of "the worse of the worse" and given to ones in shoes like mine, you can believe that minds and spirits have been cultivated and nourished and seek to make a positive impact.
My name is Kenneth Foster, Jr. and I humbly consider myself a prisoner activist, not only because of my fight towards my injustices, but also fighting against those stigmas placed on every single man here. Through all of the writing I've done over these past years one thing I know a person must do in their writing is be honest and sincere. Even from the good to the bad, we all as people must be open and understanding to each others needs, feelings and experiences, otherwise our society will continue to hurt.
So, I extend this small greeting to you. During my trials and tribulations I have come to recognise that help comes in many forms, some mentally, physically and/or spiritually, and where positive and sincere intentions exist many great things are possible. I find peace through the Solitude,
because if I can't fraternise with myself
my dependence on others will become weakness.
I will learn to be tough on my Eternal aloneness
while I become tender towards others.
So many will seek to define this and attain it,
but many will never find it
I've found this in my Higher Self
and this place will never take it
no matter how atrocious it gets.
I've opened up my channels to Divine Provisions
and now like a Mighty Spring
it's gushing from me forever.
